Nearly inaccessible, heavily forested and characterized by difficult terrain, this 30 acre parcel in the heart of Lee's Summit offered a unique opportunity to create an upscale retirement community with a resort-style atmosphere.  CrossBrook is conceived as an intergenerational neighborhood – encouraging links to adjacent neighborhoods through shared access to walking trails, resident amenities and a coffee shop designed for resident and community use.  The development is anchored by a 3 story independent living lodge with dining, lounge and recreational amenities.  The lodge is surrounded by single family villas with 4 distinct floor plans designed to accommodate the various grade conditions.  All elements are unified by a casual lakeside bungalow architectural style giving residents and visitors an alternative to the Victorian/Colonial styles all too common in retirement developments.
